Burning Cane will now be screened on Monday, October 21 at the Orpheum Theatre

The New Orleans Film Festival Team says, “If you have booked a ticket for these screenings, the ticket you have at hand will be valid for admission for these rescheduled events. We apologize for this last-minute change precipitated by this tragedy in our community and hope that you will still be able to join us in celebration of the filmmakers and their stories.”

Nola.com reports that the death toll is at three after the tragic collapse at the Hard Rock Hotel and one body still has not been found. More of the hotel is set to be demolished after the discovery of the missing body. Local authorities say that the public should not enter the zone today around the Hard Rock Hotel, which encompasses the Orpheum Theatre.
