8. "Really Be (Smokin N Drinkin)" (feat. Kendrick Lamar) - YG: The California rapper keeps the West Coast revival alive with this track and his recent debut album, My Krazy Life.
9. "Beat Down" - Steve Aoki and Anger Dimas: A cool cut from the current EDM great Aoki and Indonesian producer Dimas.
10. "Pro Anti Anti" - Liars: The moody, weird rockers just released seventh studio album Mess last week.
11. "Requiem" - Killing Joke: From the London post-punk outfit's 1980 self-titled debut.

"Nobody Asked Me (If I Was Okay) - Sky Ferreira: The young singer was one of the champions of the media's "troubled young celebrity" obsession in 2013, but after numerous singles and failed album plans since she was a pre-teen, Ferreira sidestepped the controversy and released one of the best pop albums of the year.
13. "Pseudologia Fantastico" - Foster the People: Speaking of hype, the pop rockers who knocked one out of the park with "Pumped Up Kicks" try to follow up that mega hit with newest album Supermodel. The group plans to play Jazz Fest next month.
14. "This Must Be How..." - Owls: New from the group's newest Two, whic critics like to call "post-emo," whatever that means.
15. "Great Escape" - Radiator Hospital: Opening for Waxahatchee at Siberia on Thursday.
16. "Dixie Cups and Jars" - Waxahatchee: The Brooklyn band lead by Katie Crutchfield managed to make moody '90s alt rock cool again with 2013's Cerulean Salt, and as mentioned above, play Siberia on Thursday.
17. "Nowhere to Go" - Tony Molina: Molina's debut album Dissed and Dismissed is being reissued after dropping last year and selling out vinyl pressings online, featuring this track.
18. "Zochita Zanu (Your Deeds)" - Malawi Mouse Boys: The Mouse Boys went from selling actual mice on kebabs to get by to making albums, and latest Dirt is Good dropped last week.
19. "Blue Monday" - Jolly Boys: This New Order comes from the mento act's excellent 2010 cover album, Great Expectations.
20. "Tu-be-cu-lucas and Sinus Blues" - Huey "Piano" Smith: In light of the New Orleans pianist's biography by Baton Rouge-based writer John Wirt, out this month.
21. "Booty Green" - Bobby Marchan: Marchan, notable as one of the first openly gay R&B singers, and one of the lead singers Smith's band, The Clowns.
22. "Any Other Way" - Jackie Shane: Another from a brave musician who was out when the issue wasn't Grammy fodder, this time from Toronto.
