We're giving away LOA VIP tickets to Voodoo, while Little Monsters push back against The Chainsmokers and The Weeknd stars in a video game scenario.

The Voodoo Music and Arts Experience starts Friday, October 28 at City Park, and we have a pair of LOA VIP tickets to give away. Register here for a chance to win. We’ll preview Voodoo daily starting Monday, October 24, but we have already posted some Voodoo news and Spotify playlists focused on Friday and Saturday.

The Chainsmokers have spent this summer’s festival season headlining festivals’ EDM stages. He’ll do that on Le Plur on Sunday, and the duo made a splash this week with their profile in Rolling Stone. In it, they talk about working with Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Rihanna, and Bono, and their affection for Die Antwoord, who will close Le Plur on Saturday night. The part of the story that got the most attention was their dismissal of Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion.”

"It sucks," [Alex] Pall says. [Drew] Taggart, more diplomatic, says, "She's a great artist – like, Jeff Koons made a sculpture of her.  . . ."

"I agree," Pall says. "And a lot of talented people worked on that song. But  . . ." he trails off, scrunching up his nose like something's gone rancid on the seafood tower.

Not surprisingly, their comments prompted Gaga fans to react angrily on Twitter, tagged with #ChainsmokersareOverParty. A nice meme inside the hashtag is the number of posts of people showing up to the party.

Friday night night’s headliner on The Altar Stage, The Weeknd, released a video for “False Alarm” that is a first person shooter videogame brought to life. Entertainment Weekly lays out a entertaining theory behind The Weeknd videos.

Finally, here’s a Spotify playlist for Sunday at Voodoo.

Here are the playlists for Friday and Saturday as well.
